Become a Carer
Every day, we have the power to positively impact someone's life, whether it's through companionship or specialized care like dementia support. We provide comprehensive training to ensure you feel confident in your role as a Care Professional. By stepping through your client's door, you have the opportunity to make a world of difference, helping individuals live independently and receive exceptional care in the comfort of their own homes. If you have a natural inclination to care for others, you'll find a rewarding role at Horizonz Care.
One of the significant advantages of working in the care sector is the flexibility it offers. While you are dedicated to providing care for your clients during your assigned shifts, you have the freedom to choose the amount of time you work and the breaks between jobs. This flexibility is particularly beneficial for individuals with children on school holidays or those pursuing care qualifications, as it allows them to balance work with other commitments.
In addition to the advantages of flexible care work and professional growth opportunities, we offer a variety of employee perks. These can include:
-
Competitive salary
-
Comprehensive training for carers, with ongoing development
-
Possibility to obtain a Diploma in Health and Social Care
-
Paid vacation time
-
Pension scheme
-
Free uniform
-
Company-paid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks
These benefits are designed to enhance your experience as a care professional and provide you with the support and resources you need to excel in your role.
Being a carer is not only one of the most fulfilling professions but also offers genuine job satisfaction. By providing regular care to someone, you have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on their life, especially when supporting individuals with complex care requirements. Whether it involves ensuring proper medication adherence or accompanying them to medical appointments, the knowledge that you have done your utmost to assist your clients brings a level of job satisfaction that is often rare in other fields.
While having care qualifications can be advantageous for a care role, it's not always a requirement to be fully qualified to work in the care sector. We offer on-the-job training to ensure staff have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively. Moreover, there are numerous opportunities to work towards additional care qualifications, such as an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care. Depending on your career aspirations, NVQs are available up to level 7 for managerial care staff.
